All Three Bank Robbery Suspects in Custody PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 09 January 2008

All three suspects are in custody at this hour in connection with a robbery at a West Knox County Bank Wednesday afternoon.

A white male entered the Sun Trust Bank at 11441 Kingston Pike at 1:26 p.m.  He handed the teller a note which stated that he had a bomb rigged to the building.  The teller handed over some money and the suspect fled with two other men in a red Nissan pick-up truck. A Knox County Deputy stopped the pick-up truck a few minutes later at Watt Road and took the driver into custody.  Two other men fled on foot.  KCSO had several K-9 Units in the area as well as Air Watch searching for the suspects described as a white male and a black male both believed to be in their mid to late twenties. They were apprehended shortly before 5 p.m.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office and the FBI are working together on the case.  Further details on the suspects will be posted on this website as soon as they are available.
