Investigators believe criminals will take something away and leave something behind at every crime scene.  It is the job of the Forensics Services Division – or X-Ray Unit – to find that valuable evidence.  The Unit is responsible for the collection of physical evidence, fingerprints, photography and videotaping of crime scenes, and even making plaster foot and tire prints.  The Division also collects criminal fingerprints and distributes that information to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
