Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 43 year old Halls High School teacher  Wednesday on  charges of sexual battery by an authority figure and statutory rape by an authority figure.  A female student made the allegations against Corey Dehart and claimed he sexually assaulted her in 2007. 

A Knox County grand jury indicted Dehart on the charges on Tuesday.  He was released from the Knox County Jail after posting a $50,000 bond.
