Suspect Charged in Aggravated Robbery PDF Print E-mail

dugganjoseph_45967_01-22-1977_front.jpgA suspect wanted for the armed robbery of a store in Knox County Wednesday night has been charged with aggravated robbery.  Thirty-one year old Joseph Duggan of Waller Ferry in Lenoir City robbed the Mr. Gas on Kingston Pike armed with a pocket knife.  His bond was set at $44,000.  He was spotted driving the same car used in the hold-up by the Tennessee Highway Patrol as he drove west on I-40 around 11:30 Thursday morning.  He refused to stop and lead THP on a pursuit until it ended on Kingston Pike in Farragut.  THP has charged him with evading arrest and reckless endangerment.  He was on parole in Loudon County for robbery.

 
The investigation continues into three other armed robberies from early morning in Roane County, Knox County and Knoxville.
