The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI are working on a joint investigation into the robbery of the Sun Trust Bank at 11441 Kingston Pike Wednesday afternoon at 4:10.

The robber is described as a white male, 5’10” to 6 feet tall, 180-190 lbs. and he was dressed in black pants and a black coat.  He was also wearing a black toboggan that covered most of his face.  He jumped the counter and took money from the teller’s drawer and put the money in a bag.  He did not display a weapon.

He was seen leaving in a white older model Oldsmobile.  The license plate was covered with a dark tint.

Investigators believe this is the same suspect involved in three other similar bank robberies in the Farragut area where the suspect jumped the counter.

The FBI is offering a reward.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 544-0751 or the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 215-2243.
