Detectives with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Family Crisis Unit have been investigating a man suspected of child abuse since March.  Today a Knox County grand jury handed down a 43 count indictment against 31 year old Jayson Bailey of 8401 Cascade Lane, Knoxville.  Included in the indictment are rape of a child, statutory rape by an authority figure, and aggravated sexual battery. 

He is being held in the Knox County Jail on a $500,000 bond.  The crimes were committed over a two year period against a female family member.
