The incident occurred shortly after 5:15 p.m. at a house at 7907 Pedigo Road.  Galli and the victim, Darius Woods were in a physical altercation.  Galli shot Woods once in the chest with a handgun, then pointed the gun at 21 year old Mark Hurd and robbed him of $500.  Galli then fled in his white Ford Explorer.  Hurd and another man at the house took Woods to St. Mary’s Hospital.  He was later transferred to U.T. Hospital.

KCSO Detectives tracked Galli to his residence at 6241 Vandemere Road in Knoxville where he was arrested without incident.  Galli has a prior criminal history involving public intoxication, domestic assault and various traffic violations.
