Detectives with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a strong armed robbery at a store on Rutledge Pike that happened Thursday morning.  A white male came into the Corner Store at 10508 Rutledge Pike around 8:30 and pointed what appeared to be keys in the clerk’s face and demanded that she open the cash register.  When it was opened, the suspect grabbed all the money and fled in a maroon and grey car, possibly a late 80’s Pontiac.  Witnesses said the car had a temporary tag and the last four numbers are “3209.”

The suspect is described as 5’7”, 180 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes and was wearing a gold colored hoodie, which covered most of his face and a white bandanna over his nose and mouth.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 215-2243 or 911.
