Thursday, 12 March 2009

Knox County Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones has been selected by the FBI for its National Executive Institute Training.  The prestigious program brings 25 law enforcement personnel from all over the world together to enhance their leadership skills and provide exposure to domestic and international law enforcement training.  According to the FBI, the make-up of the class has been carefully balanced to include state, local, and federal executives, along with senior executive service FBI personnel and international law enforcement executives.

Some of the international participants are from Riyadh, Bangkok, Jakarta, London, and Brussels.  Sheriff Jones was nominated by FBI Special Agent in Charge Richard Lambert.   The training is divided into three cycles of one week each.  The classes will be in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Sydney, Australia, and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  All expenses are paid by the FBI.

“I am honored to have been chosen for this great opportunity,” said Sheriff Jones.    “I believe the training and education that I bring back will be of tremendous value to the community.”
