 martinrobert_38956_01-23-1986_front.jpgTwenty-three year old Robert Martin is back in jail after escaping from officers Monday at St. Mary's Hospital.  He escaped from custody around 8:15 and was found an hour later on Hutchinson Avenue by K-9s and the Sheriff's Office helicopter.  He was arrested earlier in the evening on a theft charge and taken to the hospital with health issues.  He confessed to stealing a woman's purse from a laundrymat on March 26th.  He now faces an escape charge.

An investigation is underway as to how the escape occurred.
