Claiborne Hauling Contractors Honors KCSO Fallen Officers PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 03 April 2009

Claiborne Hauling Contractors on Rutledge Pike is known for unique artwork on its dump trucks from the whimsical (a truck that looks like a black and white cow) to community partnerships (the duck truck, which hauls the ducks for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club Great Duck Race) to the serious—honoring the fallen officers from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.  The company unveiled this latest truck in front of the City County Building on Hill Avenue, Monday morning.

Eric Edlin, a manager for Claiborne Hauling Contractors, said the idea to honor the KCSO officers came up during a brainstorm session.  He said that he and other employees wanted to show positive support for the Sheriff’s Office and thank the officers for what they do for the community.

“We appreciate Claiborne Hauling Contractors and owner Todd Claiborne for recognizing our officers who were struck down in the line of duty,” said Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones.  “We hope people will give pause when they see this truck on the road and remember the men and women who serve this community with such dedication.”
