memorialday.jpgThe Knox County Sheriff’s Office reports no traffic fatalities over the Memorial Day weekend which began May 22nd at 6 p.m. and ended May 26 at 6 a.m.  Nine people were arrested for driving under the influence and there were eight crashes with injuries.  Officers wrote 30 citations for traffic violations, made 26 arrests for various offences, and assisted 121 motorists.

 

The Marine Patrol issued 2 warnings, assisted two stranded boaters, and conducted boater safety checks and property checks of all Knox County marinas.
