A 21 year old West Knox County man was stabbed early Thursday morning in his apartment after an argument with a friend. The incident happened at the victim’s apartment at 8623 Walbrook Drive around 12:35.  Keith Eric Allen, Jr. was stabbed once in the face with a five inch kitchen knife and at least twice more in the face with an ink pen.  He was taken by ambulance to U.T. Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Knox County Detectives arrested 32 year old Delbert Gillespie and his roommate 45 year old Karen O’Brien.  Gillespie was charged with aggravated assault and O’Brien with tampering with evidence.  Detectives said O’Brien tried to hide the knife.

Allen told officers that he was “hanging out” with the suspects and that Gillespie started arguing with him and then stabbed him.
