West Knox County Meth Lab Bust
Tuesday, 20 October 2009
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people and sent a baby to the hospital after finding a meth lab in a West Knox County garage Tuesday afternoon.
An on-going investigation led officers to a mobile home at 11325 Sam Lee Road around 3 o’clock where they found an active meth lab in a detached garage. They arrested the three suspects who lived there: 25 year old William Tims who was renting the mobile home, his 27 year old brother Daniel Tims and 25 year old Victoria Trentham. Trentham’s 10 month son was taken to Children’s Hospital. There were no signs of any outward injuries, but according to state law, children must be taken to a hospital for evaluation. Trentham and William Tims will be facing child abuse charges. All are charged with promotion of meth and all had outstanding warrants. William Tims will also be charged with evading arrest. He ran from KCSO officers a few days ago when they attempted to serve the outstanding warrants.
KCSO Officers recovered 1 gram of meth and say meth was cooked at least two days ago. They found all the equipment and materials needed to manufacture meth in the garage including jars, ammonia nitrate, gas generators, lithium strips and batteries, tubing, coffee filters, and other items.
Do you have a non-emergency traffic problem? Contact the KCSO Traffic Line at 215-2010.
