The Knox County Sheriff’s Office reports no fatalities over the New Year holiday weekend.  Seven people were arrested for DUI.  Six traffic crashes involved alcohol.  Officers reported 7 crashes with injuries and handed out 140 citations for various traffic offenses.  They assisted 132 motorists and arrested 38 people on different charges.  The holiday countdown began Thursday, December 31st and ended Monday, January 4th at 6 a.m.
