Man Charged in CVS Pharmacy Robberies

Detectives with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office have charged a man with robbing four Knox County CVS Pharmacies since January.Tips led officers to the Clark Motel on Clinton Highway where they arrested thirty-eight year old Brian Christopher Bowling. He is charged with four counts of robbery and is being held in the Knox County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $38,000.He has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1998 that includes theft, drug charges, and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
Bowling hit the CVS Pharmacy on January 24th at 4500 E. Emory Road; April 14th at 417 E. Emory Road; May 6th at 11946 Kingston Pike; and May 19th at 9260 Kingston Pike.In each one he handed the pharmacist a note demanding pain medications and indicated he had a weapon and would use it if his demands were not met.The pills were handed over and no one was hurt in any of the robberies.
