The FBI arrested a woman in New Orleans on Wednesday who is wanted for robbing a West Knox County Bank on Saturday.
Thirty-five year old Deanna K. Combs of 1128 Copperwood Lane in Knoxville is in the Orleans Parish Prison awaiting extradition to Knox County.
She is accused of robbing the First Tennesse Bank at 11685 Parkside Drive and getting away with an undisclosed amount of money. She handed the teller a note and indicated that she had a weapon, although she did not show one. She left the bank on foot, but was seen in the parking lot of Weigel's getting into a silver Ford Focus with a white male driver. The FBI and the Knox County Sheriff's Office continue to look for a man who matches his description identified as Roy Lester. KCSO has a warrant on him for robbing the Commerce South Bank on October 17, 2007.
Combs admitted to her mother that she robbed the bank and confessed to the FBI that she committed the crime.
