You can obtain a copy of a Traffic Accident Report at any of our three offices. Copies can be provided for incidents occuring in Knox County ONLY.
To obtain a copy of a report:
Appear in person at one of our three offices (City/County Building, North Precinct, West Precinct) between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday or between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on Friday . The office is closed on holidays and weekends.
Bring with you a photo ID and payment of 15 cents per page copied (cash or check). You must provide the exact amount, as we are unable to provide change. We do accept coins.
Please allow 3 working days for our staff to produce the copy of the report.
Traffic Accident Reports are CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH ONLINE REPORT REQUESTS, so please follow the instructions above.
Bring the case number with you. If you do not know the case number, provide as much specific information as you can: name(s) associated with case, date/time of occurrence, location of occurrence, nature of case (e.g., burglary, vandalism). Please also provide your day time phone number where you can be reached if there are any questions regarding your request.
