Juvenile Arrested for 17 North Knoxville Car Burglaries

A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection with a string of North Knoxville car burglaries. The juvenile is allegedly responsible for 17 car burglaries occurring mainly in Halls and Powell subdivisions. The thefts began in the beginning of October. The juvenile stole mainly GPS units, cameras, and loose change from the vehicles. Thus far, about half of the property has been recovered. The juvenile was arrested on Wednesday and was initially charged with one of the burglaries. The case has now been turned over to the Juvenile Division of the District Attorney’s Office for possible further prosecution.
