Stand-Off Ends Peacefully Thursday Night

Friday, 02 December 2011

The Knox County Sheriff's Office was called to 7710 Branford Court shortly after 9pm Thursday night for a domestic situation. A neighbor called into E-911, telling dispatchers that Sarah Crisp and her children had fled to their residence because her husband, 24 year-old Christopher Crisp, had held a gun to her head and fired multiple shots inside the home into the air. The couple has three children, ages 11, 9, and 10 months. Officers responded, as well as the Negotiation Team and Family Crisis Unit. Crisp called in to dispatch and asked that officers shoot him. After speaking with Officers, he gave himself up without incident. Crisp has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Violation of an Order of Protection. The Assault charge carries a $10,000 bond, the Reckless Endangerment charge carries a $7,500 bond, and the Violation charge carries a $100,000 appearance bond.
