Sex Offender Arrested
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Enforcement Unit arrested convicted sex offender, 60-year-old Gregory L. Cramer, on Monday, February 6th. Officers were attempting to conduct a compliance check on Cramer for the Sex Offender Registry. Registered as homeless, he had been staying in his car on the property of a local truck stop. He was located within 1,000 feet of the World’s Fair Park. Cramer admitted that he had been coming to the area several times a week for approximately one month, and had been in the area for at least two hours on Monday. Cramer is a registered sex offender with convictions in Seymour, Indiana for Child Molestation with three victims, and in Bellefontaine, Ohio for Sexual Imposition with two victims.
Cramer had a previous violation of the rules and regulations regarding the Sex Offender Registry last year in Roane County when the Harriman Police Department charged him with Failing to Register after moving to Tennessee.
