KCSO Arrests Convicted Violent Sex Offender

Shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, officers with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offenders Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at 177 Country Walk Drive in Powell. 41-year-old Jeffrey Donald Keith was arrested for two Violations of the Sex Offender Registry. He is charged with being on the property of a local high school at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Friday without a legitimate reason for being there. The other charge is for operating a gymnastics business without notifying the KCSO Sex Offenders Enforcement Unit. Each bond is set at $10,000.00.

Keith is a convicted violent sex offender. He was originally convicted in 1998 in Rhea County, Tennessee of Criminal Attempt/Aggravated Sexual Battery against a 10-year-old female. The victim was a gymnastics student of Keith’s at the time of the charge.
