Autopsies Planned Today for Murder Victims

Tuesday, 10 April 2012

The woman and her daughter who were found murdered Sunday afternoon are scheduled for autopsies Tuesday by the Knox County Medical Examiner to determine the exact cause of death.  Twenty five year old Nolvia Aguilera and her 3 year old daughter Allison Aguilera were found dead in a van at a construction site on Rogers Island Lane in West Knox County.  Aguilera and her daughter had been staying in Asheville, North Carolina.

Twenty-eight year old Jorge Molina-Rivera is in the Knox County Detention Facility charged with two counts of first degree murder.  He told investigators that after arguing with Aguilera that he strangled her and their daughter with a rope.  He cut his arms and neck and then called his roommate, who then called 911.  Molina- Rivera was treated and released for his injuries.  Investigators say that Molina-Rivera was part of the construction crew that was working at the site.
