KCSO Drug Raid

Friday, 13 April 2012

Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, officers with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 1307 Ponderosa Drive in North Knox County, the residence of 59-year-old Steven Thomas Thrasher. The search warrant was for a stolen iPod. Officers confiscated a small amount of marijuana and three unmarked pill bottles containing 29 schedule II pills and 10 schedule III pills. Officers recovered the stolen iPod as well as a laptop computer. Officers seized Thrasher’s 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

A search warrant of Thrasher’s business, Thrasher’s Antiques and Elegant, at 5319 Clinton Highway in North Knox County, was issued following Thrasher’s sale of schedule II pills in a law enforcement operation. KCSO’s Narcotics Unit executed the warrant on Thursday where they confiscated a stolen Craftsman hedge trimmer from the business.

Prior to the search warrants, KCSO had received numerous complaints from Thrasher’s neighbors and others regarding his pill sales.

Thrasher was arrested at his home on Thursday without incident. He was charged with manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of both a schedule II and schedule III controlled substance and with theft, with a combined appearance bond set at $19,500.00. Thrasher has a criminal history in Knox County including assault and simple possession.
