Triple Homicide Preliminary Autopsy Results

Thursday, 24 May 2012

The preliminary autopsy results indicate that all three women found dead inside an Old Clinton Pike apartment on Monday died from gunshot wounds.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment at 7310 Old Clinton Pike where three women were found dead Monday afternoon. All three had been shot.

Fifty-one year old Paul Moore, Jr. was charged with the first degree murders of his wife, 39-year-old Christina Moore, her twin sister, Bridgett Stagnolia, and 24-year-old Amber Snellings. He was taken into custody at his brother's house on Hickory Street around 3:00 p.m. Monday by Knoxville Police Department officers who then turned him over to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. His brother called 911 to report the incident. The suspect's pistol was recovered in a wooded area near his brother's house.

According to the warrant, Paul Moore, Jr. admitted to shooting his wife and claimed not to remember shooting the other two women.

The motive appears to be domestic related.
