Riverdale Park Arrests

Wednesday, 05 September 2012

Shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to Riverdale Park on Flint Gap Road in East Knox County after receiving a call that two males were involved in a fist fight. One of the suspects allegedly fled in a blue pickup truck before officers arrived. The other suspect entered an abandoned trailer at 7000 Flint Gap Road. When officers arrived, they observed a 1994 gold Honda Accord in the driveway. A records check revealed that the Honda was stolen. Officers knocked on the door, and the suspect, 45-year-old Thomas Anthony Tipton of Knoxville, answered the door. Tipton was taken into custody without incident and charged with auto theft. Officers made entry into the trailer and discovered two females hiding in closets. One of the females, 27-year-old Amanda Dawn Buhl of Kodak, was arrested on an outstanding child support warrant.
