Man Found Shot in the Head

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Sixty-three year old Mike Parker was found at his residence at 3021 Rifle Range Road on Sunday morning around 11:00 by a woman who had spent the night at the house. According to the report, Amanda Boggs said she had seen and spoken with Parker around 4:30 a.m. She said she was awakened when Douglas England entered the residence and they found Parker slumped over in a recliner and called 911. He was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he is being treated.
