Parents Questioned in Shooting of Baby

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the shooting of a 6 month old girl Wednesday afternoon in South Knox County.  Detectives took the parents into custody for questioning.  No charges have been filed.

The parents are identified as 26 year old Angela Major and 40 year old Ken Mason.  The shooting occurred at their home located at 2421 Alcoa Highway around 1:30.  The child was transported by ambulance to U.T. Medical Center.

Both Major and Mason have criminal histories in Knox County.  Major has been charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated arson, theft, and vandalism.  There is an outstanding warrant for Mason on failure to obey court orders.  He also has 2 failures to appear on juvenile petitions.
