Lee's Food Mart Armed Robbery

Sunday, 11 August 2013

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who robbed Lee’s Food Mart on Sunday evening.

According to the initial investigation, around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, a white male entered Lee’s Food Mart on Clinton Highway and asked a clerk to make change for a dollar bill. The suspect produced what appeared to be a handgun, pointed it at the clerk, and took money from the register. He fled southbound on Clinton Highway on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 20-26 years old, 5’8”-5’10”, 130-140 pounds, with a thin build, cropped dark brown hair, and tattoos on his chest, both arms, and probably on his lower legs. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black tank top tucked into long khaki shorts, sunglasses on top of his head, and black, unlaced shoes, possibly high tops.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the KCSO at (865) 215-2243.
