Four Arrested in Pot Bust
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrested four people Wednesday and charged them with the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of a schedule VI Controlled Substance. An on-going investigation with the 5th Judicial Task Force led to the arrests. Twenty-four year old Michelle McGee of Sevierville and Benjamin Montgomery of Knoxville were arrested at 5709 Lyons View Pike when officers with the KCSO Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at that address. They found approximately $24,000 in cash and 10 pounds of high grade pot in a homemade wooden compartment used for a bed. The marijuana was worth about $45,000. The marijuana was packaged for resale. They also found a money counter, a vacuum sealer, glass pipes, digital scales and a ledger with initials. McGee and Farris are each being held on a $20,000 bond.
The investigation also led officers to a house at 816 Montacres Lane. Officers again executed a drug related warrant and found $9,500 in cash, 2 pounds of high grade marijuana worth around $6,400, multiple bongs, multiple pipes, baggies, mason jars, grinders, and digital scales. Marcus McColloch, 26, who lives at the address, was arrested and charged with Schedule VI Violations and his bond was placed at $10,000. Also arrested was 28 year old Justin Lee Skinner of Knoxville. He was also charged with Schedule VI Drug Violations with a bond of $12,000.
