Knox County Sheriff - Sheriff J.J. Jones
Knox County Sheriff News
This year, hundreds of thousands of people will hear the words "You have cancer," and there's a good chance that some of them will be people we know and love. I have chosen to fight back against this disease and help make a difference by supporting the American Cancer Society’s mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
The American Cancer Society is calling this No-Shave November in an effort to raise money to fight this horrible disease. To help highlight this cause and have a little fun, Chief Lee Tramel, Chief Bobby Spangler, Chief Rich Wilson, and I are not shaving for the rest of this month. We’ll update our picture every Wednesday and show you just how hairy and grisly we get! It won’t be pretty, but neither is cancer. I hope you will support our combined effort by visiting http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/TeamACS/TACSFY10National?px=35426327&pg=personal&fr_id=27330 and making a donation.
Thank you for your support!
Sheriff Jimmy “J.J.” Jones
