Pictures Released of Armed Robbers

Thursday, 30 September 2010

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has released pictures of two men wanted in the armed robbery of the Bojangle’s on Oak Ridge Highway early Saturday morning.  One suspect is described as white, 5 ‘8”, 170 pounds, military style or “buzz” haircut.  He was wearing a black shirt, black cargo shorts below the knee, and hid his face with a black t-shirt around his head.

The second suspect is described as a dark skinned male.  He was around 5’10”, 150 pounds, and was wearing blue jean shorts below the knee, black tennis shoes with white side soles and red bottoms, and covered his face with a towel.

The two suspects entered the restaurant around 5:35 a.m. brandishing black handguns.  According to the three workers and one customer, the suspects yelled the entire time and pointed their weapons at them.  Both suspects hopped over the counter multiple times and demanded cash from the office.  As they left the restaurant, one suspected pointed his gun at the customer and demanded money from his wallet. No one was hurt during the incident.

The FBI is assisting in the investigation and is offering a reward for the identification or arrest of the suspects.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 215-2243.
