Mascot Man Killed in Truck Wreck

A Mascot man was killed Sunday night in a one vehicle crash in East Knox County. Cory Kimbrough, 23, of Mascot died after he lost control of his Dodge pick-up truck and flipped a couple of times before landing on the driver’s side.  Kimbrough was partially ejected from the driver’s side window.  Emergency rescue workers had a difficult time trying to free him. He died in the ambulance on the scene.  The incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. at 3801 Clear Springs Road.

Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies said there were no drugs or alcohol. They said speed and reckless driving caused the crash. They could not determine if he was wearing a seatbelt.
