Knoxville Man Arrested for Exploitation of a Minor

An on-going investigation by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a Knoxville man Monday morning for exploitation of a minor by electronic means (child age 13 or older).

KCSO officers arrested 36 year old Scot Vandergriff without incident at his home at 2730 Fairmont Boulevard.  He was indicted by a Knox County grand jury on Friday.  At the time of the initial investigation, Vandergriff was a teaching assistant at Gibbs High School.  He is being held at the Knox County Detention Facility on a $75,000 bond.  He has no previous criminal history in Knox County.
